There are many places of interest close to the Pahrump Area, which is a wide open area west of Las Vegas night life and Casinos. There are many places to shop in Las Vegas with specialty stores as well as most of the Major Stores. Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are only 1 1/2 hours away. The Colorado River flows thru Lake Mead and on down thru Nevada, Arizona, and California. Many boating events are happening up and down the river.
Tecopa Hot Springs is only 30 minutes just over the California line. The Paiute Indians brought their lame and sick to bathe in the mineral springs, in Tecopa, for their healing.
China Ranch Date Farm is near Tecopa Hot Springs and is full of history, the old Spanish Trail, and a gift shop located there selling a variety of items like dates, date shakes, date nut bread , jams and jellies.
Death Valley National Park, many visitors from all parts of the world come to the park and stay to see the beautiful sites of Death Valley. Come in the early spring and see all the desert flowers in bloom.
Mt. Charleston which towers above us 12,000 ft to the east. There is much to do there both summer and winter.
Rock collectors love finding rocks in the many miles of wide open areas to explore and night skies that attract stargazers and astronomers.
